Golf in Kimberley: three courses to compare

Trickle Creek, Bootleg Gap and Kimberley Golf Course offer three different options in Kimberley, British Columbia. Compare their character below, with official sources and our course guides. The course selection and tee times for September 2027 have not been finalised.

Trickle Creek: elevation on North Star Mountain

Trickle Creek follows the slopes of North Star Mountain. Les Furber’s design combines elevation changes, mountain views, bunkers and undulating greens. The club highlights hole 11, a par 3 played from an elevated tee to a green among pines.

Consider it if mountain terrain is part of what you want from your golf holiday. Discuss suitable tees and check availability before making a booking.

Bootleg Gap: championship golf in the river valley

Bootleg Gap’s Championship 18 has 18 holes, par 72 and a length of up to 7,157 yards from the back tees. The official description combines open fairways, forest and the St. Mary River valley.

Treat that back-tee length as course information, rather than the right choice for every player. Choose suitable tees for your companions. Current published rates and booking slots are not confirmed arrangements for the 2027 trip.

Kimberley Golf Course: fairways among mature trees

Kimberley Golf Course describes 18 holes with undulating greens and fairways framed by larch, cedar and ponderosa pine. Its setting gives you another point of comparison beyond course length or a resort name.

The club reports work to develop its holes on the official website. Check the current layout and conditions when planning. We do not treat a temporary work schedule or unconfirmed yardage as fixed information for 2027.

Which course suits your group?

Start with the players: their experience, preferred challenge and number of rounds. Then compare terrain, suitable tees, available start times and the journey from your accommodation. There is no single best choice for every group.

My planning advice is to use a stay in the area to combine different styles of golf rather than moving accommodation every day. Discuss whether everyone wants the same rounds, so golf and free time work together for the participants.

What should you check for September 2027?

Check opening dates, maintenance, conditions, prices and availability directly with each club when booking. An earlier listing or current rate does not establish September 2027 availability. These three courses are comparison options, rather than an automatically confirmed selection for our trip.

  • Which tees and participation requirements suit the players?
  • Which tee times can accommodate the group?
  • Are carts, club hire and other extras included or priced separately?
  • What change and cancellation conditions apply to the round?
